Before beginning to address the issue of who I am, what makes me tick, etc., allow me to address the following rhetorical question:
What makes “Social Engineering” so different from legit social interaction?
In my view, the only difference is the honesty or lack thereof regarding one’s motives or goals for an interaction. Striking up a conversation about the weather with a security guard, with the intent of gaining access to a bank vault, is in my humble opinion, not that different from striking up a conversation about politics with a cute teller, with the intent of later gaining entry to her. Both, in my view, qualify as social engineering. In the case of the bank theif, he might get into the vault, but jail will be next. In the case of the serial-dater, one often gets much more than they were looking for out of the situation as well. Both are attempting to obtain what they want, via less than honest means.
If your sole motive for viewing my about page, is to see who this Joe creep you saw mentioned in some flamewar is, then read my profile below. If your intent is to “get to know me better” or some such whatever, then keep in mind that about pages never tell the whole story, or even a tip of the proverbial iceberg. The only way to get to know someone legitimately, is to get to know them.
